The terminology derived from my precursors of Graffiti, where ‘going out bombing’ refers to putting up large-scale, simple text forms in a two-color palette in high-traffic areas. I have fabricated a mobile GOBO projector unit I wheel around my old stomping grounds, back alleyways, bridges, and high-traffic areas of the concrete jungle, projecting my interconnected figure-based forms. These projections rotate and range in scale from 1’-300’ in diameter. They embody the kinetic energy of graffiti through the intuitive line that renders my letter forms, interconnected portraits of the people I encounter daily, and drawn from the communities who’ve helped me survive.
