Much of my studio work involves moments of analysis; I analyze the intrinsic cultural codes of my methods and materials, practice and process. In this iteration, I try to capture the energy of working quickly and discreetly in the 'streets' by applying power carving techniques in the studio, which remove a lot of material very quickly. This forces me to act on intuition in the moment. I use a chainsaw to 'ruff' out form, then a chainsaw wheel on my angle grinder, and final details are rendered with wood boring burs on a die-grinder.
